Identificación
Cresta color pajiza o blancuzca cremosa con el resto de las partes superiores negras con rayas o pintas blancas cremosas, las partes inferiores totalmente negras, con una tonalidad de barreado ocracea. Cara negra con mancha más prominente sobre el ojo de color negro. El macho tiene tiene una raya malar roja, mientras que la hembra, tiene una raya malar pardo oscura.
