hoyi: Gunnar Arthur Hoy (1901–1997) ornitólogo nruego/germano que emigró a Argentina (1951), Curador del Museo de Historia Natural de la Universidad de Salta.

Identificación
Iris pardo amarillento. Cabeza y dorso castaños, con estrías negras en la cabeza y pardo oscuro en la zona dorsal. Pecho castaño con estrías oscuras. Abdomen con barras y estrías castañas. Alas pardo oscuro con barras castañas. Cola castaña barreada de pardo oscuro.

- Peso: 115 a 145 grs.
- Alimentación: mayormente insectívoro.
- Hábitat: selvas de montaña entre los 1.000 y los 2.800 msnm.
