Etimología

Zenaida: Zénaïde Laetitia Julie Princesse Bonaparte (1804–1854) esposa del ornitólogo francés Prince Bonaparte.
asiatica: Latín, Asiaticus -Asiática. En nomenclatura el toponimio "asiático" es casi sinónimo con "India".

Estado de conservación


Identificación

Es marrón grisácea con una raya blanca en el borde de cada ala. Tiene un anillo de piel azul que rodea cada ojo y una mancha negra en la parte inferior de la cara. Los ojos y las patas son rojos.
