Etimología

Setophaga: Griego, ses -polilla; phagos -comedor.
graciae: Grace Darling Coues (1847–1925) hermana del ornitólogo norteamericano Elliott Coues.

Identificación

Pecho, garganta y mentón amarillos. Espalda gris. Vientre blanco. Rayas negras verticales en los lados del pecho y flancos. Corta ceja blanca. Media luna amarilla bajo el ojo. Dos barras alares blancas. Manchas blancas en la cola.
